Hand-Rolled Incense

Step into the calming world of traditional incense-making at our Chinatown, Los Angeles arts and crafts studio. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to blend herbs, resins, woods, and aromatic oils to create your own personalized incense sticks and cones.

Guided by a skilled artisan, you’ll explore:

• The history and cultural traditions of incense-making
• How to hand-roll incense sticks and cones from your own custom blends
• The symbolic meanings of herbs such as rose for love, lavender for calm, and cedar for protection
• Ways to source and wildcraft local ingredients sustainably

Each student will design up to four unique incense blends, package them in handmade envelopes crafted from recycled wallpaper, and take home up to 20 sticks, cones, and custom wrappings.
